This has been a busy few weeks.....

Registering a new member of the family (A 2005 Honda Pilot) at the licensing office.

Hanging out with my girls.

Taking Eva to swimming lessons

Cut and stacked a fairly large alder for firewood.

Went to see Alter Bridge at the Showbox in Sodo. California Breed opened for them and I was amazed to find out their lead singer Glen Hughes is 62!

Frank from Quebec city was also in town to see the sights and hang out with Dora.

Nelly Furtado "The Spirit Indestructable" The first Nelly album that I really didn't like.....
Kimbra "Vows" kind of a stripped down pop album, but I like it. Favorite track "Settle Down" 12/12
Pinback "Information Retrieved" A pretty good chill album 12/12
Ellie Goulding "Halcyon" and "Lights" are both great pop albums Tracks "Starry Eyed" and "Figure 8" are great 11/12
Chevelle "Hats off to the Bull" The best Chevelle album, which is saying something. Favorite track "Envy" 11/12
Gotye "Making Mirrors" Even without "Sombody that I used to know" this would be a great album. Favorite track "State of the Art" 09/12

Random Rants & Complaints

Like most people I know, I can't understand how Clinton and Trump are the front runners for each party. Well... I guess I can understand Clinton, but the fact that Sanders is doing so well boggles my mind a bit. We have such a "Hot Take" heavy media that unless you are being an outlandish idiot you can't get any traction. From the little I've heard from him Kasich seems like the only somewhat non-moronic candidate from either side.

The Gun Control debate... considering how small gun violence is compared to other public health issues (drunk driving, prescription drug abuse, ect...) why are we giving this so much attention. Yes, Newtown was a terrible tragedy, but so are the thousands of other needless deaths caused by other issues. It's clear that Behavior is the real issue and going after guns will make an insignificant dent in the overall problem, and could very well cause even bigger problems.

Comrade Obama... need I say more?

I can not think of a worse idea than to have the government involved in health care more than they already are.
