Hoops and Tormo!

The hoop is up! Here is Penny's first basket ever on our new basket!

The other big news is that we went and put a reserve down on this little guy.

 We get to go pick him up next Tuesday June 7th.

His name is Tormo. Virginia came up with that name when we were newly weds and dreaming about the life we would someday have.

 As you can see, we picked Tormo because of his mellow personality.

 This is Tormo's mom, as you can see, she is not really big, but his dad was fairly large, so we expect Tormo to be medium sized. 

 Last Monday was Memorial day and we took the opportunity to visit Tahoma National Cemetery for a short Memorial Day program and to visit my friend Derek's grave. It was a good time to reflect on how lucky we are to live in this country and to honor those who have served and died for our nation.

Hopefully the girls got a little bit of a lesson on the meaning of Memorial Day.
